Stabat Mater explores prejudice and gay relationships

Inspired by their experience with an Earnshaw play in 2011, Ashtead Players presented Stabat Mater as their entry for the 2012 Leatherhead Drama Festival, and wowed the audience. The play deals with the differing attitudes of two mothers to the relationship between their daughters and was sympathetically played. Moving, funny and thought provoking; this is Tony’s first play for an all female cast.
